Patient story video production
Let patients tell their own story, on their terms, with consent that holds up.
Who it's for: Companies, health systems and patient-advocacy organizations who want real patient voices in their communications.
Patient stories are the most powerful and the most fragile content in healthcare. They're powerful because they're true. They're fragile because a patient can feel used, a claim can creep in that the evidence doesn't support, or privacy can slip.
Our approach: informed consent before anything is scheduled, including where the film will appear and for how long. The patient gets to review their story before release. We don't script patient testimony, and we don't let a patient's experience stand in for an efficacy claim. Where your organization is a HIPAA covered entity, we work to your privacy office's authorization process.
We film at home or somewhere the patient chooses, with a small crew and time for breaks, and we include caregivers and clinicians when the patient wants them there.
How we handle it
- Plain-language consent covering channels and duration
- Patient review before release
- No scripted testimony, no efficacy claims from anecdote
- Small crews, patient-chosen locations

Questions
How do you film patient stories ethically?
Consent first, in plain language, covering channels and duration. Let patients speak in their own words, review their story, and withdraw from future use. Keep individual experience separate from efficacy claims.
Can a patient withdraw later?
We agree the terms up front. Typically the patient can ask that the film come down from future use, and we plan for that.
Do you recruit patients?
No. Patients come through your organization or advocacy partners, under their own consent process.
